We offer one-on-one tutoring lessons in a variety of subjects such as English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, History, Geography, Life Science, Physical Science, Accounting, Business Studies, Homework Assistance and Organisational Mentoring.

REBECCA SERMAN
Rebecca started Tri-Tutors in 2019 when she was a student at university. She graduated from university with a BA Degree with majors in English, History and Archaeology as well as with a PGCE in teaching English and Mathematics at a high school level. While she was studying, she was intent on creating a tutoring company which built confidence, growth and achievement within learners through the implementation of three fundamental principles – intention, effective study and perseverance. She has gone on to teach English at a prestigious high school in 2022 and is currently travelling whilst completing her Masters at the University of Edinburgh.
“My tutoring approach centres around my belief that each student has the capacity to succeed. Every student has unique potential and through a holistic viewpoint, a student’s route to achievement can be realised. I believe that optimal tuition involves structure, skills, practice and innovation.”

JORDAN-JENNA ROLFE
Jordan-Jenna (JJ) matriculated from Crawford College Sandton with 7 distinctions in 2019. She is currently studying Medicine (MBBCh) at the University of Witwatersrand. She is a swimmer and is therefore experienced in the complex balancing of academic and athletic life. She has a passion for learning and she is particularly fascinated by the illimitable power of the human mind.
“I am a goal-oriented, ambitious and diligent person who understands the importance of perseverance, attitude, perspective and the building of habits with mindful intention. My aim is to ensure that my students realise their potential through the personalisation of their lessons and to guide them to persist through student stresses with courage no matter the circumstance.”

SHIRA WOOLF
Shira matriculated from King David Victory Park in 2022. She has a passion for working with with children and hopes to pursue a career in Child Psychology. She is currently studying at the University of Witwatersrand. She is a kind, patient and organised individual who loves to see people around her succeed.

I firmly believe that every child is a unique and valuable individual with limitless potential waiting to be unlocked. JOSHUA PEARSON
Joshua matriculated in 2020 during the height of the Covid pandemic. He is currently studying to become a Chartered Accountant at the University of the Witwatersrand. He also coaches hockey at his former high school and enjoys coaching and imparting knowledge.
“I have always been academically-orientated and I love helping other like-minded students achieve their goals within the academic space. As someone who has benefited from many different teachers and tutors over my school journey, my approach to tutoring is to help identify the academic goals of the learner, create a comfortable and safe learning environment in which the learner is pushed to achieve these goals and help in any way that I can along the way."

TAMARA SILVERMAN
Tamara Silverman matriculated from King David High School Linksfield in 2023 with 6 distinctions. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in psychology, politics and governance at the University of Cape Town. She hopes to also achieve her LLB and one day become an advocate.
“I aim to prioritise personalised learning which is tailored to each student’s unique needs and learning styles, whilst fostering trust and empathy by sharing my own academic struggles. I am patient and persistent, and I aim to provide clear explanations and encouragement whilst going above and beyond to support my students. I believe that continuous improvement is key, and I encourage any feedback that will allow me to make all my student’s learning processes as smooth and successful as possible. I am extremely driven by my own experiences and the challenges that I faced academically, and I am determined to ensure that all my students thrive and reach their full potential.”

CALEB SAVARY
Caleb matriculated from Crawford College Sandton in 2021 with 9 distinctions He is currently studying Medicine at the University of Witwatersrand and is in his third year of study.
“As a university student and recent matriculant, I can attest that hard work truly does beat talent every day of the week. I aim to equip students with the ability to break down questions into their various concepts and work through any misconceptions. Additionally, highlighting how each concept forms a part of the solution will help students understand the work and how to apply themselves to future questions.”

SAFFRON LIEBERMAN
Saffron Lieberman graduated from King David High School Linksfield in 2021 with 5 distinctions. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce Degree at the University of the Witwatersrand. She hopes to achieve a double major in Law as well as in Finance and Investment.
“I put my best efforts into everything that I do. I am a very dedicated and determined individual. This is shown through my dedication to ballet for 18 years. I hope to showcase my passion towards achieving goals by assisting young students who are just beginning their academic journeys. An important part of my tutoring approach is patience and perseverance as with these aspects, I believe that I can assist any student in achieving their goals!”

JENNA STEIN
Jenna Stein matriculated from King David Linksfield in 2022. She is currently studying Experience Design at Vega College and specializing in User Experience Design. Jenna is patient, kind, determined and passionate about helping others succeed. Jenna has a strong desire to help and give guidance in any way she can.
“With a patient and nurturing approach, I am dedicated to guiding students to reach their full potential in a manner that best suits them. I strongly believe that everyone should be able to reach their academic goals, no matter what these aspirations may be. My teaching style is tailored to each individual by creating a supportive environment in which students can thrive.”

JASON VOS
Jason matriculated from St Stithians Boys’ College in 2022 and is currently studying a degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand. He has a passion for helping people and encouraging them wherever he can. He is very interested in problem solving and tackling new challenges, while also understanding the importance of a healthy balance between a sporting, social, and academic lifestyle.

DUMA MANDIMO
Duma matriculated in 2021 and she is currently completing her second year of a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Computer Science at the University of Witwatersrand. Her passion for helping people achieve their goals started in high school when she tutored mathematics. Her experience of online schooling for Grade 11 and Matric taught her the importance of having present figures to guide you on your educational journey.

DANIEL KAPELUSCHNIK
Daniel matriculated from King David Victory Park High school in 2024 with 8 distinctions, where he was the head boy for the 2023/2024 year. He is currently studying a BCom Law at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He has a passion for languages and writing, and enjoys playing the piano.
“I understand that every student learns differently, and my goal is to help each one find a method that works for them. I’m patient and understanding — I’ve been a student myself, so I know how challenging it can be at times. My role isn’t to do the work for my students, but to guide and support them so they can develop the skills and confidence to succeed on their own. GEMMA KATZ
Gemma matriculated in 2022 from King David Victory Park High School. Currently, she is studying a BA Law at the University of the Witwatersrand and taking Psychology and International Relations as her additional electives. She is an organised, polite, and patient person who only wants the best for her students. It gives her a great sense of satisfaction to see them reaching their full potential.
“I believe that finding the right tutor for each student is very important. In order for a student to be motivated by the tutor to achieve his or her full potential, the student should relate well to the tutor. I truly think that every student is able to reach his or her full potential but often needs motivation and positive reinforcement to unlock it. Many students require one on one teaching to help them realise their full potential academically and to grow in confidence. JARED ROLFE
Jared matriculated from Crawford College Sandton in 2021 with 6 distinctions including a 99% for mathematics. He is currently studying Medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand. He is passionate about science and mathematics and believes in doing everything you can to achieve your goals.

Avigail matriculated in 2024 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Sciences at the University of Stellenbosch. She is passionate about mathematics and history and is always interested in learning new and adventurous things.

RUBY JOSSEL
Ruby Jossel matriculated from King David High School Linksfield in 2023 with 8 distinctions . She achieved top isiZulu and English student at her school and was placed in the top 1% in IEB Home Language English . She is currently studying Actuarial Science at the University of Cape Town.

Scarlett matriculated from King David Linksfield in 2023. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Social Science at the University of Cape Town — majoring in psychology and English literature. She hopes to pursue her Masters in Neuropsychology. She is passionate about helping others succeed.

CHIZOBA EGWU
Chizoba matriculated in 2021 and is currently studying Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of the Witwatersrand. She is passionate about reading and chess.
“I am an outgoing person with a keen interest in helping students reach their academic goals. My approach is personalised – catering for the student’s needs and focusing on understanding the different ways of learning. I believe that this approach allows students to be comfortable and feel heard in our lessons resulting in students’ active participation in their education.”

THEA MOODLEY
Thea matriculated from Crawford International College Sandton in 2023. She enjoys working with children. She aims to study marine engineering as she has a passion for technology and the ocean. Being an athlete has taught her how to balance school and sport effectively.
“I believe that no goal can be achieved without a well-structured journey. It is important that each student has the right guidance to create a clear path to achieving their goals. My aim is to ensure that students will be able to achieve their goals in an environment that is customised to their needs.”

AURAH KOPELOWITZ
Aurah matriculated from King David Linksfield in 2023. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce Law at the University of Witwatersrand. Aurah hopes to become an attorney one day and specialise in tax law.
“I am very diligent, hardworking and patient person. My belief is that everyone can achieve their own personal goals if they give it their all and work hard. My approach to tutoring is to constantly motivate and guide my students on their journey to reaching their goals by helping them find a way to study that suits them.”

LILA NOSSEL
Lila matriculated from Yeshiva College in 2024 with 8 distinctions and was in the top 1% for Life Orientation. She will commence her studies of biomedical engineering at the Technion University in September 2025. She has a passion for science, mathematics and biology and hopes to encourage others as they for academic excellence.
“I believe that studying can be enjoyable for everyone provided the style of teaching and learning caters towards each individual student. I have a passion for helping others learn and understand. My aim is to relate to students and connect with them while helping them overcome any academic challenges. I put my all into everything I do and I am eager to assist my students to thrive academically.”

JESSICA HIRSCHOWITZ
Jessica Hirschowitz matriculated from King David Linksfield in 2023. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Social Sciences majoring in Industrial Organizational Psychology and Sociology at University of Cape Town. She hopes to complete a degree in Industrial Organisational Psychology.

EMMA FREED
Emma graduated from King David High School Linksfield with 7 distinctions and is currently in her second year of studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Cape Town. Last year, she was placed on the Dean’s Merit List for the Faculty of Science. She is a dedicated and high-achieving student and tutor with a strong academic foundation.

Alicia is a 4th year medical student at the University of the Witwatersrand. She matriculated in 2021 with 7 distinctions. With experience in coaching and a background as a student athlete, she brings discipline and balance alongside a passion for helping young learners succeed both academically and personally. She understands the challenges of balancing academics with extracurriculars and supports students in achieving both.
